Former flyweight champion Deiveson Figueiredo is preparing for his third clash against Brandon Moreno. In his quest to regain the flyweight world title, ‘Deus da Guerra’ has moved his training camp to Arizona to train with one of the best. He is honing his skills with Olympic gold medalist and former two-division champion, Henry Cejudo. However, the champion is unfazed by the same.

On an episode of The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani, while sharing his thoughts on Figueiredo’s training camp with Cejudo, the flyweight champion said, “A lot of lots of drama.

“I mean, to be honest with you, when I hear about that for the first time, I was a little bit sad a little bit disappointed. But now you know fake people fake things. Definitely, he has his own version of history. I have my own version of my history. And just that the people can’t judge that. “

“Now I don’t care, man. Now I don’t care if Henry Cejudo wants to help Figureido to this trilogy. I think he needs it because he needs to do something different for this fight. Because the last fight was horrible for him.”

While Moreno and Cejudo didn’t talk about the feud, ‘Deus da Guerra’ blamed ‘The Assassin Baby’ for betraying the former UFC fighter. However, the flyweight champion had a different story.

Brandon Moreno opens up about his feud with Henry Cejudo

In the past, ‘The Assassin Baby’ and ‘The Messenger’ shared a good friendship and even trained together during Moreno’s initial years. Unfortunately, things changed, and the friendship turned into a feud.

Earlier in 2016, ‘The Messenger’ was picked as a coach against Joseph Benavidez at The Ultimate Fighter 24. According to Moreno, while choosing the team for the show, Cejudo snubbed him and picked Alexandre Pantoja instead.

In the same interview with Helwani, Moreno said,I went to The Ultimate Fighter. He take Pantoja and say f**k Brandon. I went to Benavidez’s team and I need to be very clear in that point. The training with Benavidez was amazing… Benavidez was very respectful with me and helped me a lot too… It was a sad part of my life.”

‘The Assassin Baby’ and Benavidez soon became good friends. Not only that, but the former also joined Benavidez in his training camp for a fight with Cejudo in the finale. ‘The Messenger’ ended up losing the fight and called Moreno a traitor since he had trained with Benavidez.
