Michael Jai White said, “Usually when you see fighters fight, there is a disadvantage. The bigger guy can, can shrink down and make weight and then they hydrate back up to, who they, what they really are. “

Additionally, speaking about his example, he added, “I’m usually around 230 (pounds), right? I can run, dehydrate… Vitamin C, all these different things like natural diuretic type of stuff and get down to 205…”

Furthermore, the MMA enthusiast said, “That’s temporary because your body is made up of mostly water. So, if you manipulate the water, you manipulate the majority of your body weight. It’s a trick. So I make weight at 205. then immediately once I step off that scale and I start drinking… I go back to 225-230”.

Many fighters such as Daniel Cormier and Khabib Nurmagomedov were accused of being ‘weight bullies’ in their careers. Michael Jai White stressed the importance of such a weight differential in the fight.

The MMA enthusiast added, “I’m fighting that guy who’s actually 205 and fighters understand a weight differential is major. That’s a major power in the strength difference”.
