“You Really Need to Understand Setup Punches”- Henry Cejudo Reacts to a Training Footage of Conor McGregor as He Prepares for a Comeback

Irish fighter Conor McGregor is one of the biggest superstars in MMA. While fans want to see McGregor fight, there is no date announced for his return. However, ‘The Notorious’ keeps his fans entertained through the training footage he posts on social media.

The UFC’s maiden simultaneous dual division champion posted another training video on social media to which former two-weight division champion Henry Cejudo reacted.

In a video uploaded by McGregor, fans can see him working on his hooks and hitting the mitts. ‘The Notorious’ captioned the video, saying, “Cannes bombs #godbless

 

Former bantamweight champion Henry Cejudo tweeted, “MMA is different than boxing if you over turn your hips it leads to easy takedowns. It’s hard to recover your position if you over throw your hips. You essentially add more time to whatever punch you throw next. You really need to understand setup punches. – Sincerely the (goat)”

While Henry Cejudo takes his time to critique other fighters, ‘Triple C’ plans to make a comeback from retirement.

Henry Cejudo to fight again in the UFC

After defending his bantamweight crown against Dominick Cruz at UFC 249, Henry Cejudo shocked the world when he announced his retirement. The fighter said that he had done everything in the sport and it was a perfect time to walk out of it.

Although, since his retirement, Cejudo has not been quiet. ‘Triple C’ has been constantly critiquing and calling out fighters. Taking a big step towards this goal, the former champion has also re-entered the USADA testing pool.

While Cejudo wished to compete at Featherweight, UFC President Dana White shut down his demand. As per his manager Ali Abdelaziz, ‘The Messenger’ will make his return to directly fight for the UFC bantamweight championship.

When Cejudo comes back from retirement, seeing him back in action will be a treat for MMA fans as he has some exciting opponents waiting for him at 135. Also, as we have seen ‘Triple C’ take a shot at Alexander Volkanovski, MMA fans could be treated to a fight between the duo in the future.

It will be interesting to see whether the former UFC dual champion uses his own advice if he does re-enter the octagon.
