‘You are as good as your last fight’, these words precisely explain what has been happening with UFC star Rose Namajunas lately. The two-time UFC Women’s strawweight champion was once loved and celebrated by fans for her exceptional fighting skills and talent. However, a significant portion of the MMA community seems to have changed their stance now. At UFC 274, Namajunas defended her title against Carla Esparza and lost. But her misfortunes did not end there.
The defeat was not the turning point of her career. Instead, it was her monotonous fighting style, that many considered boring. Ever since that loss, fans and critics have called her out for her last performance which seemingly lacked excitement. Now, ‘Thug’ returns to MMA action at UFC Fight Night 226 in Paris against Manon Fiorot. Recently, in a press conference leading up to the bout, she addressed her UFC 274 fight.
