Interim heavyweight champion, Ciryl Gane and Francis Ngannou are going to collide at UFC 270. The highly anticipated heavyweight clash will decide the fate of UFC’s most valuable division. Francis and his management have already stated that he is looking to fight out his contract. This could put the promotion and the heavyweight division in serious jeopardy.

Besides this, Ciryl and Francis are former teammates and were part of the same camp in the MMA factory. Francis’s departure from the gym to the American soil created a bitter feud with Ciryl’s head coach, Fernand Lopez.

The duo has been attacking each other for quite some time, and Lopez revealed more insights about the leaked sparring footage between Ciryl and Francis.

Ciryl’s head coach claims Francis Ngannou lost to the interim champion in training

It is fair to say that leaking such footage in public is clearly a clever play to distract the reigning champion. The epic clash is merely a couple of weeks away and such antiques can play a big role in hurting anyone’s confidence. According to a recent report by MMA fighting, Fernand Lopez has once again attacked the heavyweight champion regarding sparring session with his fighter.

He made bold claims about Ciryl not only dominating the champion, but he definitely stopped him with a knee strike. “You want me to tell you the truth on the video? The video ends up with Francis Ngannou sitting down in the corner of the gym because he [ate] the knee of Ciryl Gane in the liver. Knee on the body. He sat down. He was f*cking exhausted, tired, took the knee, [sat] down.”
