

Israel Adesanya, the UFC middleweight champion, claps back at the title challenger Jared Cannonier after the latter took a dig on this official Instagram account.

With two consecutive wins under his name, the number two middleweight contender has earned his first-ever UFC title shot. He will take on the middleweight kingpin Israel Adesanya in the main event of UFC 276, inside the T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada on 2nd July.
Ahead of the fight, both the middleweight combatants got into heated verbal interaction on social media. The title challenger Cannonier took a dig on the champion Adesanya by posting a video of the former light heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz.

Blachowicz has previously defeated Izzy in a light heavyweight title bout. However, he lost his title to Glover Teixeira at UFC 267. In the video uploaded by Cannonier, Blachowicz is saying that losing the title feels like eating sh*t.

‘The Killa Gorilla’ tagged Adesanya in his Instagram stories and wrote, “Hey @stylebender, have you ever tried sh*t?”

In response, Adesanya reposted the story on his Instagram account and wrote, “Acting out of character suddenly think he funny.” Later, he posted another story while taking a dig at Cannonier’s crystal beliefs.
Adesanya reposted a post from the famous ‘Dude with the sign’ Instagram account that read, “Your crystal won’t save you.” And in the story, Izzy wrote, “Just remember Jared.”

Cannonier is currently on one of his best UFC runs. He has only lost one fight in his previous six. Notably, from his previous five wins, only one has come via a decision, the rest four have come via a finish.

Given his recent run, Cannonier can be a good competition for the champion. However, Izzy has defeated almost every top contender from the 185lbs roster. He has also lost only one fight in his professional MMA career.
