“Your Favorites Fighter Favorite Fighter”: Jorge Masvidal’s Heartfelt Post Gets Fans Rally Behind Him Ahead of Gilbert Burns Fight at UFC 287

As we head into UFC 287, the hype around the massive fight card is getting more apparent with every passing day. While Israel Adesanya and Alex Pereira clash in a rematch for the middleweight gold, it’s the co-main event that promises to be another barn burner. Going down between two of the most entertaining names in the promotion, Jorge Masvidal and Gilbert Burns, fans will be surely looking ahead to this fight with baited breaths.

Sharing his sentiments heading into the fight and notably right ahead of his promotion’s boxing card that goes down tomorrow, Masvidal made a heartfelt post showing his appreciation to God or as he put it, to “the man above”. Fans came out rooting for the 38-year-old, and in doing this, they also showed the massive support that the MMA veteran has amassed over the years.

The fact that the Miami native spent two decades in the sport and made the most of it, going on to win the inaugural BMF title all while pulling in large PPV numbers, shows how massive he’s been for the fight game. To top it all off, Gamebred also runs a successful boxing promotion, with the biggest card under it going down on April 1st as the likes of Jose Aldo, and Vitor Belfort all come together for a boxing event.

Showing his gratitude for all of these, Masvidal, in his latest Instagram post, wrote, “Turned my passion into a career and I thank the man above every day for this.”

The card also has some of the biggest MMA names, with the likes of Jose Aldo, Jeremy Stephens, Vitor Belfort, and Jacare Souza all coming together to in what could be a fun-filled night for the fans.
