UFC President Dana White spoke to the media following the latest episode of Dana White’s Contender Series that wrapped up in Las Vegas. While White spoke about the fights, his attention was also drawn towards other significant happenings in the UFC. Chiefly, he was asked to elaborate on the recent arrest of UFC superstar Jon Jones from late last week.

‘Bones’ Jones was arrested in Las Vegas for misdemeanor domestic battery and felony tampering with a vehicle. The severity of these charges threaten to derail Jones’ life and career and White had some thoughts on the controversy. Chiefly, he spoke on attempts made to keep Jon Jones out of Las Vegas as it usually never ended well for the consensus GOAT.

“This is what Jon does when he comes to Vegas and this is a rough place for him man. He’s here less than 12 hours, I think, and he was in jail. Every time we bring him here, we try to keep him here for as short a time as possible. Get him in and get him out. This time he was with his family so we figured…we figured wrong.”

Dana White was asked to comment on Jones’ recent statement and he too echoed a similar sentiment as the MMA community. White kept his statement short, however, there’s no doubt that he believes Jones should have stopped consuming alcohol a long time ago.
