Jamahal Hill lashed out at the Canadian-American MMA journalist Ariel Helwani. Presently, Helwani continues to grab the attention of fight fans by interviewing MMA fighters in his podcast, The MMA Hour. The 41-year-old’s podcast is often considered a space where fighters can open up about their dreams and feelings. However, Jamahal Hill recently called out Helwani for playing with the feelings of fighters to serve his own agenda. Hill tried to prove his point by citing the example of how Helwani tried to create problems between him and Jiri Prochazka.

Jamahal Hill sat on the light heavyweight throne after Jiri Prochazka vacated his light heavyweight kingpin position due to a shoulder injury. Later, when Prochazka was getting ready to return to the UFC to fight Hill, ‘Sweet Dreams’ was forced to vacate his light heavyweight champion position as he tore his Achilles tendon. However, there were no dramatic events that broke out between Hill and Prochazka. Now, Hill has accused Helwani of trying to bring up issues between the two.

Jamahal Hill levels accusations against Ariel Helwani

Jamahal Hill was talking on the Champ Chat podcast. During that time, Hill accused Helwani of trying to gaslight ‘Denisa’ when the Czech Republic fighter sat with Helwani. The MMA journalist mentioned that Hill was talking poorly of Prochazka on several occasions. He further claimed that contrary to Hill’s behavior, Prochazka treated Hill with class and even wished for his fast recovery when ‘Sweet Dreams’ was injured. When Hill came across the words of Helwani, He said, “I’m gonna be real. I’m just gonna say it like this like Ariel. You did what you did bro I don’t f*ck with you at all. You a snake, I think you you’re really a b*tch bro.”

He further added, “You weak and you’re really pathetic bro like people come on trying to share, try to share like their dreams, true feelings or raw things like that with you and you take that time to try to serve your own agenda. It’s like, bro, you know what you really losing in the process all that? Do you care?”

Hill continued, “Like I’m gonna get used to like all these things I want you to think about since you always want to be Mr drop the mic and think about it. These things that you should think about.” According to Hill, Helwani tried to create misunderstandings between Hill and Prochazka by trying to fuel ‘Denisa’s ego.

‘Sweet Dreams’ proves the MMA Journalist wrong

In the same podcast, Hill played a video of him talking about the return of Prochazka the day before his injury happened. In the video, Hill mentioned that he was ready to fight against Prochazka but was waiting for the right time. ‘Sweet Dreams’ also mentioned that he wants Prochazka to recover from his injury and take sufficient time for the same. By playing the clip from his interview, Hill wanted to prove Helwani wrong. What are your thoughts about Hill’s accusation against Helwani? Let us know in the comments below.

"Like many, my journey into the beautiful game began by watching the mesmerizing Lionel Messi, as his impeccable vision on the pitch and role as a playmaker, meticulously calculating the path to goal always amazed me. This fascination with the finer details of soccer strategy naturally extended to my interest in content strategy. However, my zeal for being a soccer content analyst is not only because of Messi's magic, as I am a keen follower of the Becks as well. While in David Beckham, it was a special affinity for his mastery of crosses, passes, and set pieces, in Victoria Beckham, the fashion queen, I find inspiration in how she masterfully navigated the world of aesthetics and brand identity. This unique blend of admiration for both the tactical intricacies of soccer and the world of fashion and entertainment helps me to cover the game from angles that seamlessly balance sport and entertainment. Before joining EssentiallySports, I worked as a content analyst as well. A Master's degree in English and Comparative Literature from a premiere institute has helped me hone my writing skills and given me a unique perspective on the world of sports. Interestingly, besides soccer, I also extensively covered UFC, especially the Joe Rogan podcast. In my free time, I enjoy reading and keeping up with the latest developments in the world of sports.
