However, following Dana White’s offer, it seems that the matchup will be held under the UFC. That said, McGregor is still willing to donate $500K to Poirier’s organization, as promised. It is no surprise that this rematch can be a record selling PPV. Thus, the entire MMA fanbase is rooting for the fight, and Daniel Cormier is one of them.

Daniel Cormier hails Conor McGregor for his job

Talking about the lucrative lightweight thriller, Daniel Cormier also praised Conor for his will to donate for a charitable cause. McGregor didn’t want to lose a chance to donate, even if the bout is held under the UFC.

The fantasy re-match will entail a lot more than just a noble cause. Considering their first fight in 2014, Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier have come a long way. They have held their hands in the UFC titles and are known to be two of the biggest superstars now.

Thus, the re-match makes sense at this point. In the first fight, McGregor knocked out Poirier within the first round. It was a heated build-up and McGregor got the last laugh. Yet, the rematch can look different.

Both the fighters have been respectful towards each other now, and Poirier has all the tools to avenge the loss. The question is, will McGregor let him display his skills? If everything goes per plan, the fight can happen on November 21, December 2, or December 19.
