Conor McGregor is undoubtedly one of the most known names in the world of MMA. McGregor started off as a ‘Cage Warriors’ fighter, where he went on to become a two-weight division champion for the first time. He repeated his superb feat in the biggest MMA promotion, the UFC as well. McGregor is often known for audacious behavior outside the Octagon. He mostly carries a mocking intent and hardly appreciates things.

But, even ‘Mystic Mac’ couldn’t resist lauding the known wrestler, Zion Clark, who was born without legs. Clark made his MMA debut recently and shook up the world with a unanimous decision victory over his opponent. His awesome achievement was extolled by numerous fight fans all over the globe, which also included ‘The Notorious’. Following his win, Clark was interviewed by TMZ sports host, Dean Muhtadi, where he talked about how he felt about being congratulated by ‘Mystic Mac’ himself.

Zion Clark was excited to get a pat on the back from the coveted Conor McGregor

Clark‘s entire interview was published on the YouTube channel of TMZ Sports. Muhtadi started off the Conor McGregor discussion, stating, “I gotta say you really found a way to hit home with one of the greatest fighters of all time. We saw the tweets, the back and forth with Conor McGregor”.

He questioned Clark, “How did that feel for your first-ever MMA fight?”. ‘Mojo’ also gave his opinion stating, “My goodness, that had to have felt incredible.”

Clark replied, mentioning, “Man you know, again, it’s a good feeling you know”. He continued describing his feelings about McGregor‘s wish, mentioning “But coming from Conor that’s you know, it’s an honor to have his Kudos and have his respect for the level of skill that I have and you have somebody approve that”.

He finally stated, “You know, this is legit and I’m really excited about it.”

Previously, McGregor took to Twitter and put out a series of tweets in appreciation of Clark. In his first tweet, McGregor highlighted ESPN MMA’s tweet, which showcased the victory of the MMA debutant.

McGregor later retweeted his own tweet with a description of what it would take to defeat Clark in a bout.

Clark, in turn, replied to McGregor, showcasing his appreciation for McGregor‘s wishes. ‘The Notorious’ retweeted Clark‘s reply as well with a mention of the UFC’s official Twitter handle.

It was evident that McGregor wanted the UFC as well to take notice of this physically challenged yet stupendously courageous athlete.

Zion Clark aimed for more achievements in MMA after Conor McGregor’s tweets

The MMA debutant revealed his future plan for achieving a lot more. He stated, “I’m trying to stay humble about it because there’s lot of work for me to do with my team with my coaches”. 

Clark also presented his own opinion on his performance but intended to keep on improving. He said, “My personal opinion is that it was a good performance, but I definitely have things that I can most definitely work on”.
