Daniel Cormier praised Max Holloway for letting Chan Sung Jung “have a moment”

It is unfortunate what has happened in Maui after the disastrous wildfires. Max Holloway dedicated his fight in Singapore to the affected people back in his hometown. Daniel Cormier said, Max Holloway got out of the way, right? He was fighting for Hawaii. We know what they’re going through over there.”

However, with the news of ‘The Korean Zombie’s retirement, he let the Korean fighter enjoy the end of his UFC career. It was his last fight, so Max Holloway believed that it was better to let Jung have his moment after an illustrious career. “But he got out of the way and allowed ‘The Korean Zombie’ to have a moment,” said ‘DC’. The Hall of Famer continued to praise the former featherweight champion.

The former double champion mentioned how Max Holloway was aware of ‘The Korean Zombie’s retirement news. Similarly, he did not take much time in his post-fight interview. He said what he had to say in brief and sent his love to the people back in his native land. Cormier further said, “He did not have a long post-fight interview. He knew what was happening in that part, gave love to his homeland, gave love to his state.”

As soon as he completed his speech, Holloway got out of the Octagon and Chan Sung Jung had his final moment inside the Octagon. This gesture, Cormier believes, shows how much of a kind-hearted person the former featherweight champion really is. “He got out of there and left ‘The Korean Zombie’ to have his moment. That was also big of Max Holloway,” said the Hall of Famer.
