The UFC president, Dana White, currently boasts a net worth of $500 Million all owing to the huge viewership of UFC today. But, he was also the one who put his best efforts to revive the company and save it from selling out.

White took several steps which were instrumental in reviving the UFC. He convinced Lorenzo Fertitta, the chairman of Fertitta Capital, with a net worth of $2.5 billion, to invest in the UFC. ‘The Ultimate Fighter,’ planned by White, was a bright idea that took the UFC to the mainstream.

Hence, it’s apparent that the UFC boss is a genius mind when it comes to business. White and Fertitta have been the best of friends and partners since their initial UFC days. They have constantly looked for new areas to expand their business.

Reportedly, ‘Schiaffo LLC’ managed by Dana White and Lorenzo Fertitta is trying to bring a ‘Slap Fighting Championship’ in Nevada, which is an all-new venture by these partners. A few years back, Fertitta was also reported to show interest in buying an NFL team. White, being one of the closest to Fertitta, was questioned about Fertitta’s plans to buy an NFL team.

In a 2019 interview with TMZ Sports, Dana White went on to state his verdict about how good an NFL team owner, Fertitta would be.

The TMZ reporter questioned, “As the guy who knows him as well as anybody, how will Lorenzo be as an NFL owner?” It is a known fact that both Fertitta and White are in constant search of ideas to grow their business. The reporter clearly desired to realize Fertitta’s merit as an owner if he ever purchases an NFL team.

White iterated that Fertitta would be an “incredible” owner. White also justified himself by saying, “They own casinos, they’re incredible owners, they own the UFC, they’re incredible owners. They’ll be amazing NFL owners”.

The reporter seemed to have good knowledge about White as he revealed that the ‘UFC boss’ was an avid NFL lover and a huge ‘New England Patriots’ fan. He also questioned White, “So are you interested in partnering with him for an NFL venture?”

As known to most of his fans, Dana White’s always on the hunt for new opportunities to grow his business. White replied, I’m very interested. Yes, I predict that the Fertitta brothers will own an NFL team and me and the Fertitta brothers will be in business again someday.”

The reporter finally wanted to know whether they had any talks with anybody regarding the issue. The reporter specifically named the NFL Commissioner ‘Roger Goodell’. He asked, “Did you have any talks with anybody, Roger Goodell or anybody else?”. White replied, “Lorenzo’s talking to everybody”.

It was apparent from White’s words that Lorenzo Fertitta was all ready for his NFL team purchase. White stated in 2019 that Fertitta was planning his NFL entry as a team owner. But, today, even after 3 years, there has been no concrete news about any advancements from Fertitta or White’s side regarding this all-new venture of owning an NFL team.
