An athlete can become a hero in their country through the glory they bring with their performances. Such was the case when Jiri Prochazka defeated Glover Teixeira for the UFC light heavyweight championship. After winning the belt, Prochazka received an insane reception in his home country, The Czech Republic.

The fighter too celebrated with the crowd. UFC President Dana White compared this reception to the one Tom Brady, and the Patriots received when they won the super bowl.

First, White was asked if he has thought about taking the light heavyweight title belt fight to Europe. The UFC President answered, “Yeah, I mean, we want to take this thing everywhere. It’s just going to depend on you know what’s going on around the world…I am going to places that are easy to run the business…But yes, I mean, eventually we want to go everywhere.”

Speaking about Prochazka‘s insane reception and celebration, White said, “That thing reminded me of you know Brady and the Patriots going back to town after winning the super bowl. That’s what it looked like.”

In a video, fans can see Dana White shocked as Jiri Prochazka submitted Glover Teixeira. He said, “No way, no f*****g way. Jiri f*****g tapped him out.” 

The UFC President seemed to be ecstatic with the fight. He even labeled the fight as a war. White said, “What a f*****g fight. What an absolute f*****g war man.”

It is safe to say that not just Dana White, but everyone who saw Jiri Prochazka and Glover Teixeira compete, reacted in a similar way. This fight between the two warriors could someday go down in the UFC Hall Of Fame.
