 Joe Rogan is a force to be reckoned within the entertainment industry, and his podcast has touched the zeitgeist of society, christening it a fan favorite. Rogan’s podcast is famous for bringing up some unique topics in his podcasts and also invites guests of different professions. A recent Twitter post by Jed I. Goodman highlights that the podcast has captured the top spot yet again. 

Over time, the podcast has become an indispensable source of information for the fans and has been consistently bagging up the top spot. However, with the deal ending in 2024, it will be interesting to see whether the 56-year-old renews his contract.

The Joe Rogan podcast usurps top spot this week 

In a recent Twitter standings, the Joe Rogan podcast has secured the top spot yet again, beating the likes of Travis Kelce and Tucker Carlson. The first partnership between Spotify and Rogan ensued in 2020 when Spotify realized the value of his podcast and offered him a whopping $200 million deal. Since then, the JRE podcast has rarely vacated the top spot. Some of the bigger mainstays in the world from different professions have also appeared on the show and shared their experiences.

Spotify is in doldrums as Joe Rogan’s contract nears end

Rogan’s recent performance and fan following have put a lot of pressure on Spotify as Rogan currently holds an upper hand in the deal. The company made a massive $200 million deal with the 56-year-old podcaster to stream his episodes live on their app exclusively. Spotify benefited the most from the agreement after Rogan provided consistent performances throughout his spell. However, everything is coming to an end now.

With the company going through a cost-cutting phase, offering a massive deal to Rogan might be a Herculean task. However, if the company cannot retain its most important asset, the 56-year-old will call it quits with an enormous fan base and colossal ad revenue. Although there is a possibility that Spotify will make a deal with Rogan, there has been no official news yet. Will Spotify reclaim Rogan and give him a massive deal?
