There’s a certain kind of chaos that only happens when you combine UFC champs, social media stars, and NFL royalty in the same Vegas weekend—and this one delivered. What started as a classy charity event quickly transformed into something unexpected, owing to a pair of fight-worn shorts, a social media star, and Jon Jones‘s unpredictable behavior. One moment, UFC content creator Nina Marie Daniele was casually filming a display at the auction; the next, ‘Bones’ chimed in with the kind of R-rated comment that breaks the internet. So, what did he say?
Nina Marie Danielle, aka Nina Drama, recently attended Patrick Mahomes‘ 15 and the Mahomies Foundation Vegas Golf Classic. However, despite being surrounded by big names and flashy golf carts, her gaze was drawn to a pair of signed Jon Jones shorts that were being auctioned. In fact, she even took out her phone, filmed the moment, and made it clear she wanted those shorts, as she expressed it in the caption, “I’m bidding on these signed, used Jon Jones shorts.”
And, guess what? Jon Jones saw the clip. So, how did he react? Was it a simple “thanks for your support?” Well, far from it. As per the heavyweight champion, he remembered those shorts, not as valued memorabilia, but as something he had carelessly used to wipe sweat off himself when it got too stuffy between his legs. He shared the clip on his Instagram story with the caption, “I remember those shorts! Those are the ones I would wipe sweat off on when my b—- were hot lol.”

Well, it would be interesting to see if Nina Drama still bids on the shorts after this massive confession. Interestingly, Jones’ fight-worn apparel has caught attention online in the past as well. Over the years, collectors have paid close attention to his autographed shorts, gloves, and trading cards.
Depending on the occasion and authenticity, some of his shorts have sold for anywhere from $130 to well over $400. However, as chaotic as the moment was, it didn’t detract from the essence of the weekend. Patrick Mahomes’ 15 and the Mahomies Foundation Vegas Golf Classic was more than celebrity appearances and viral videos; it also raised money for children’s health, education, and community programs.

The event, held at the famous Shadow Creek Golf Club, gathered a mix of NFL players, celebrities, and athletes who came together to support a good cause. While Jon Jones’ comment made some headlines, the true winner was the attention—and money—it brought to a nonprofit doing critical work. But despite it all, UFC fans will still have their gaze stuck on the heavyweight champion, who still faces accusations of ducking Tom Aspinall. So, will he fight him after all? Is there an update?

Dana White is 100 percent confident about Jon Jones’ fight
Despite all of the news surrounding Jon Jones—from sly comments about auctioned shorts to playful detours with Hasbulla in Thailand—the one question that remains is whether he will actually face Tom Aspinall. Fans have been increasingly skeptical, noting that while Aspinall waits, ‘Bones’ appears to be doing everything but entering the cage. But if you ask Dana White, there’s no need to worry. The UFC CEO isn’t entertaining the doubt for even a second.
What’s your perspective on:
Will Jon Jones ever face Tom Aspinall, or is he just dodging the inevitable showdown?
Have an interesting take?
When asked about Jones’ return, the UFC head honcho did not hold back. “He’s fighting. He will fight,” he told street journalist Adam Glyn, adding, “Yes. Absolutely,” when asked about a return timeline confirmation in 2025. So, while the heavyweight champion is filming a reality show with Nate Diaz and clowning around on social media, Dana White feels the champion is still on track.

Outside the UFC offices, however, the vibe is somewhat different. Curtis Blaydes, who was knocked out in a flash by Aspinall at UFC 304, echoed many fans’ current feelings of frustration. Blaydes, who shares Aspinall’s frustrations, went so far as to say that Jones should be stripped of his belt entirely.
However, the UFC CEO does not consider that an option. As far as he’s concerned, Jon Jones is the champion, and the unification bout is a matter of when rather than if. So, what do you think? Will we get to see the fight in 2025? Let us know in the comments.
