Adhering to how MMA can keep one healthy, we often see people from different walks of life train in the sport of MMA. Recently, former UFC fighter Paige VanZant shared visuals of an NFL team training at the American Top Team.

In an Instagram story shared by VanZant, fans can see players of the Miami Dolphins training at the American Top Team. The players are seen circling around the mats in what appears to be a warm-up.

Sharing this footage, VanZant captioned it by saying, “@miamidolphins in the house!

One of the most notable names to transition from NFL to MMA is Herschel Walker. The former NFL player made his fighting debut at the late age of 47. Walker competed under the banner of Strikeforce and racked up two victories in the promotion.

Another famous name who made a similar transition is Greg Hardy. The former UFC fighter made his professional MMA debut at Dana White’s contender series. Since then, Hardy fought under the UFC banner 10 times, having lost 5 fights. Eventually, Hardy was released from the UFC.

While many people know Brendan Schaub for his podcast and stand-up comedy, Schaub was also a football player. Even though Schaub went undrafted in the NFL, he created a career for himself in mixed martial arts. Schaub amassed a record of 10-5 in his MMA, holding notable victories over Mirko Cro Cop, Gabriel Gonzaga, and Matt Mitrione.

Matt Mitrione had a brief stint in the NFL, having played for teams such as New York Giants, Minnesota Vikings, and San Francisco 49ers. Mitrione’s MMA career began with the Ultimate Fighter Season 10. Since then, Mitrione has established quite a career for himself by holding victories over Derrick Lewis and MMA legend Fedor Emelianenko.
