“I am just a fiery, passionate, flawed, empathetic guy and sometimes my emotions lead the dance. To those MMA fans whom I’ve offended, I am sorry. That was not my intention,” Anik stated in a post on Instagram. Moreover, that apology did not go unnoticed, as many MMA pros reacted to the UFC commentators.

Interim heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall appeared to support Jon Anik, calling him one of the best commentators in the business. Former UFC fighter Uriah Faber suggested that the play-by-play commentator ignore such comments online. Meanwhile, Bo Nickal lauded Anik for sharing the apology and keeping an eye out for the fans. Many other pros, like Frankie Edgar and Belal Muhammad, all stood in support of the UFC commentator.

HoF’er picks Michael Chandler over Conor McGregor at 185lbs

Recently inducted Hall of Famer Frankie Edgar was one of the guests during a Q&A session with the fans ahead of UFC 297. There, the former champion was asked to share his prediction of the fight between Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler. Edgar appeared to be confident about ‘Iron’s chances of beating the former double champion given that the Irishman mentioned the fight being at 185 pounds.

“If this [the fight] is at 85′, I’m saying [Michael] Chandler all the way,” said Frankie Edgar. However, the Hall of Famer believes that if the fight takes place at a weight class, the fight could be in favor of Conor McGregor. “If it’s at 70′, I think Conor has a shot in the first round, but I’m going with Chandler,” Edgar added. It remains to be seen how things pan out since we are yet to get the official announcement for the McGregor vs Chandler fight.

Both of them were happy to meet up with each other as Brady and Volkanovski decided to play ball. The NFL legend sent down a ball to the UFC featherweight champion, which the latter caught pretty easily even when he was amongst the crowd. It wasn’t a surprising thing to see that since ‘Volk’ played rugby before diving into the world of MMA.
