Chael Sonnen is a UFC legend like no other. In Joe Rogan’s own words, Sonnen is the man who “revolutionized” trash talk. And that does not end after Sonnen’s retirement from the cage. Everyone’s watching Super Bowl LVIII as the game goes on and one of its biggest features is always the half-time show.

Unfortunately, Sonnen wasn’t very happy with the performance of one single artist during the half-time show. And that’s none other than Usher. The hip-hop icon was thrashed for not putting up a half-time show-worthy performance and here’s how.

Chael Sonnen believes Usher needs new music

Chael Sonnen and his love for the Super Bowl is obvious. It’s also obvious that Usher’s performance didn’t leave a very good taste in the legend’s mouth. This mostly had to do with the artist performing a song that was way too old for Sonnen to appreciate for the current times.

“If you find yourself playing a song from 2 decades ago, at halftime in the Super Bowl, take that as a hint that you should not be playing halftime at the Super Bowl.” The UFC legend said in an X post. Is Sonnen right about his take here?

Based on the comment sections and retweets, it appears as if many fans seem to share Sonnen’s sentiment. There have been many brilliant half-time shows for the Super Bowl over the years. From Eminem, Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg to Beyonce. These are some performances that could rank in the top tens.

However, Usher’s latest Super Bowl performance might just fall a bit behind. Meanwhile, for the UFC fans, there are other things worth worrying about. Things like the UFC 300 main announcement. Fans have had it with Dana White and with his latest comments, things might just escalate.

Dana White sounds unsure

Dana White has opened up about how the behind-the-scenes of UFC 300 keeps taking interesting turns. He told the press after the Power Slap 6 event that him and the team had gone through a lot of  “crazy sh*t” trying to put two fights together.

And neither of those fights were the main event. A day or so later, Jon Jones came out and told Submission Radio that he was asked to headline the main event if he was ready for it but unfortunately, ‘Bones’ still needs time to recover. Does that mean a heavyweight bout is in the making?

There’s no way to tell. White told the Full Send Podcast that whatever he’s had in mind could change completely for the UFC 300 main event. Fans assume now that the UFC head honcho doesn’t have a solid plan because that would mean having things set in stone right before the event. But that doesn’t seem to be the case. What are your thoughts?
