Jorge Masvidal returns this weekend at UFC 261 as he sets up to butt heads with the welterweight champion, Kamaru Usman, in a rematch.

The pre-fight press conference for the event took place yesterday. Masvidal had a surprise supporter in the building in the form of former NFL star Chad Ochocinco.

When asked about his expectations from the fight, Masvidal answered, “Yeah, we rubbed on the we worked on these techniques that will stop him from rubbing my feet, you know that that was the only thing that I couldn’t stop last time, you know, so we’ll make sure that there’s no feet rubbing this time.”

Masvidal was then able to recognize Ochocinco and asked, “Is that Chad Ochocinco? what’s up, man? What’s up, man? How you doing? Man?”

I’m good. I’m here. Man. If I had your hands, I cut mine off. But I just want to I want to hear from your mouth that you locked in before the fight I put this money on you despite being the underdog,” Ochocinco told Masvidal as the former NFL star asked for the challenger’s prediction of the how the main event at UFC 261 would play out.

Whether Masvidal can live up to his word and finally become a UFC Champion in the process, remains to be seen. He will have to fight a perfect bout in order to dethrone a dominant champion like Usman.

The pay-per-view in Jacksonville, Floria, will have fans back in the arena for the first time since restrictions related to COVID were implemented in the United States.
