What should have been a day for a fun time out turned into an uncomfortable situation for NFL legend Tom Brady on his Netflix roast special. When Jeff Ross took center stage to roast the former football player, he happened to joke about an instance that involved the owner of the New England Patriots owner, Robert Kraft. But Brady was quick to shut it down, which has left UFC legend Chael Sonnen clueless.

Everybody has been talking about Tom Brady’s Netflix roast after the former NFL player claimed to be “unroastable” before everything went down. But when Jeff Ross took the stage and mentioned a certain massage joke, the 7-time NFL champion walked up to him and said, “Don’t say that sh*t again,” prompting Chael Sonnen to question Brady on social media.

Just like other Netflix users, Chael Sonnen couldn’t help but check out ‘The Roast of Tom Brady’. When he came across that point in the show where Jeff Ross was shut down by the NFL legend, he wondered the reason behind it and took to X and posed a question not only to Brady but to his followers on that platform, too. Sonnen wanted to know the story behind the Robert Kraft Joke and, straightforwardly, shared a tweet regarding his query.

Chael Sonnen asked, “Just seeing the ROAST. Why did Brady call off KRAFT jokes? I get the reference I’m wondering how/why at a roast that was out of bounds. Backstory?” Although the crown in attendance enjoyed the punchline from Jeff Ross, Tom Brady didn’t like it because the joke is a reference to Robert Kraft’s infamous massage parlor scandal in 2019.

The scandal in question made Robert Kraft take a hit on his reputation. When he visited the Orchids of Asia Day Spa on a couple of occasions, the Patriots owner got charged with agreeing to engage in prostitution. Though the charges were later cleared, the damage was already done. And guess what? Days after the roast, Tom Brady regretted having partaken in that event.

No more roasts for Tom Brady. Why? Because he regretted it, especially because he claimed that it affected his children. Although he loves comedy, he did not take into account what could go down at a roast event. “All of a sudden you realize, I wouldn’t do that again because of the way that it affected actually the people who I care about the most,” stated Brady during a recent appearance on ‘The Pivot Podcast’.

Having faced such an uncomfortable situation during the roast, Tom Brady has decided to be a better role model and, most importantly, a better parent to his kids. “I’m gonna be a better parent as I go forward because of it,” added the NFL legend. The fact that millions and millions across the world witnessed those jokes was the final nail in the coffin for Brady’s decision to avoid such shows in the future.
