Fighting a professional martial artist or a trained fighter is quite different from tackling your average Joe. This is something that most people do not seem to understand. Hollywood actor and YouTuber Bradley Martyn has been making headlines recently ever since he stirred up the entire MMA community.

Martyn, in a podcast episode with Nate Diaz, ended up asking Diaz for a spar session. Although nothing came of it in the end, the UFC fans were amazed at his gall. Adding fuel to the fire, Martyn enraged the MMA community further when he refused to believe that former UFC Flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson could defeat him in a street fight.

Demetrious Johnson is on-board – Bradley Martyn already regretting it?

Bradley Martyn, a popular bodybuilder. has an imposing stature, no doubt. However, it takes more than great strength to defeat UFC fighters. When Martyn called out Diaz for a spar session, the MMA fans had a good laugh at his expense.

However, when famous American podcaster and former UFC fighter Brendan Schaub tried to tell Martyn that he wouldn’t be able to defeat Demetrious Johnson in a straight-up street fight, the YouTuber seemed to struggle to believe that. He proceeded to say that he would ‘crush’ the considerably smaller Johnson.

The former UFC Flyweight champion was then informed of the same by Schaub, who immediately agreed to the fight. According to sources, Demetrious Johnson is ready to make this fight happen, and so is Bradley Martyn. In fact, Martyn, apparently, said that he cannot wait for the fight to happen, in a podcast episode with Schaub.

The news was that Johnson was away on a holiday and all further updates would follow once he returned. However, it seems Johnson has decided to take this seriously as he sent a Tweet Martyn’s way. The caption read: “see you soon @BradleyMartyn.”

The YouTuber is yet to respond to Johnson’s Tweet. While it is unclear if the fight is feasible or permissible, the fans seem to think that this time, Martyn might have bit off more than he could chew.

Is retirement on the horizon for ‘Mighty Mouse’?

Former UFC Flyweight champ and GOAT candidate Demetrious Johnson made his UFC debut back in 2011. Since then, he has done nothing but prove that he is truly one of the best Flyweight fighters in the division. However, it seems the current ONE FC Flyweight champion is mulling things over when it comes to retirement.

In an interview with MMAJunkie, Johnson said that his retirement plans are still in the pipeline as things need to be considered. He has said he wants to speak with legendary fighters like Georges St-Pierre and Khabib Nurmagomedov to understand why they retired before he can take a call.

The UFC legend said that he had considered retiring after his unanimous decision win over Adriano Moraes at ONE Fight Night 10. However, it seems that ‘Mighty Mouse’ might have changed his mind.
