Cody Durden’s debut in the UFC was a unanimous draw on the UFC Fight Night 173 – Brunson vs. Shahbazyan card. He entered the UFC on the back of 7 consecutive wins, all coming by submission or KO/TKO.
Durden drops down to flyweight and with a well-organized weight cut should be very dangerous in the division. Flick, on the back of 3 consecutive wins, will be sure to make this a very close and entertaining fight.
Fight Prediction: Jimmy Flick via Submission
Matt Wiman vs Jordan Leavitt
Matt Wiman is a veteran of the UFC, having made his debut in 2006. He enters the fight on the back of 2 consecutive losses, including a bad loss to Luis Pena at UFC Fight Night 154 – Moicano vs. The Korean Zombie.
Wiman will look to get back to winning ways in his 18th fight in the promotion.
25-year-old Jordan Leavitt is another Dana White Contender Series winner that will be on the card. He is 7-0 in his professional career, Leavitt earned his contract with an impressive submission win. He will now look to make his debut against Winman, who has been in the promotion for nearly 15 years.
Wiman is on a downward spiral at this point in his career, with Leavitt moving in the opposite direction. It is to be seen if Wiman can use his experience to grind out the win. However, all reason points to Leavitt getting a win on his UFC debut.
Fight Prediction: Jordan Leavitt via Decision
Louis Smolka vs Jose Alberto Quinonez
Originally slated for UFC Vegas 14, Louis Smolka and Jose Alberto Quinonez have been booked yet again. A bad weight cut by Smolka resulted in him pulling out just before the event. The event would eventually be rescheduled for UFC Vegas 16.

The Hawaiian Louis Smolka was a bright prospect when he entered the UFC. However, things have not worked for him of late, now 1-2 in his last 3 fights. At 29 years of age, he might still have his best years ahead of him.
Jose Alberto Quinonez is coming off a devastating loss inflicted by Sean O’Malley. Although Quinonez has been in the UFC since 2014, he has only had 8 fights in the promotion. He will now look to stay active and get back to the win column over Smolka.
