Fans Shocked by PFL Star Maurice Greene’s Ability to Dwarf UFC “Heavyweight” Jon Jones

Jon Jones, despite his controversies, is arguably one of the greatest fighters to step foot into the octagon. The American has displayed pure skill and dominance in the ring. Recently, Jones appeared in the corner of Maurice Greene to support him in his PFL bout. The fans were surprised after seeing how big Greene was compared to Jones in real life.

Maurice Greene fought against Denis Goltsov on PFL 5, which took place in Atlanta. To everyone’s surprise, former UFC champion Jon Jones was present in the corner of Greene.

MMA Junkie posted this clip on Twitter. In the clip, we see Jones giving instructions to Greene during a round break. Jones says, “Push off on his hips. Don’t be afraid to push off cause you don’t gotta let him go hip to hip with you when you get that overhand in. You know what the takedown he wants to do. That’s going to be the same takedown that he wants.”

Jones added, “He had a good round on top. He’s probably going to want to try and get another takedown. So when you’re in a clinch, you got to know that, that’s what he wants.”

Fans were quick to react to this clip on Twitter. Most of them were shocked at how big Greene was compared to Jones.

Fans posted similar comments on another clip that showed the two practicing before the fight.

Jones is 193 cm tall, while Greene is 201 cm tall. The difference between the two looks even more exaggerated in real life. This is even after Jones has bulked up to fight at heavyweight.

His record shows just how dominant he was in the ring. Jones has a record of 26 wins, 1 no contest, and only 1 loss. The loss came against Matt Hamill via disqualification due to a 12 to 6 elbow strike.

Jones displayed pure dominance and won bouts against some of the greatest fighters. He won the light heavyweight championship in 2011. His UFC career ended after he relinquished the light heavyweight title in 2020.
