“It Could Be Very Interesting if They…”- Joe Rogan Advices Dana White’s Rival PFL After UFC’s Blunder With Francis Ngannou Led to Ex-Champ’s Exit

Joe Rogan is renowned for his love of martial arts and his support for MMA athletes. The UFC commentator and podcaster has always been vocal about UFC fighters deserving more options available for them. And in a recent JRE (Joe Rogan Experience) episode with MMA legend, Dan Henderson, Rogan revealed an interesting take on why Francis Ngannou leaving UFC was a good thing for the organization!

Ngannou, the former UFC heavyweight champion departed from the promotion due to disputes over his contract. Ngannou in his appearance on the JRE stated that the financial side of things didn’t matter much to him as the freedom he wanted to pursue his other interests outside of MMA. And Rogan, with his latest statements, seems to agree with Ngannou’s decision. He even went on to add why he thinks it’s beneficial for Dana White and the UFC to have more competition. Francis Ngannou exited the UFC due to contract disputes in 2022. The former UFC heavyweight fighter then signed with the PFL (Professional Fighters League) after a period of free agency. The details of his signing involve Ngannou becoming an executive and an equity owner of PFL Africa, a regional league intended to begin in 2025. The exact numbers of his contract are yet to be revealed but it has been reported that the contract involves a multi-million dollar payday for ‘The Predator’.

In the recent episode no. 149 of the JRE MMA Show, Joe Rogan discussed the implications of the deal secured by Ngannou for the UFC and other fighters. Rogan’s guest for this episode was Dan Henderson, a legendary former fighter in the MMA community and former Olympic wrestler.

The conversation touched upon Ngannou’s move to the PFL. Rogan made an interesting observation by stating, “Listen, the more big organizations the better”. As he explained that it would allow for a better experience for fans, and the athletes as well.

He brought up PFL and Ngannou’s deal as an example of a high-profile fighter signing outside the UFC. He stated, “It could be very interesting if they throw a bunch of money at him” and further explained that he believes that multiple prominent organizations benefit both the athletes and fans. Having various organizations allows fighters to negotiate better deals and creates healthy competition.

Henderson agreed with Rogan’s claims by stating that he believes it is, “great for the sport and great for the fighters.” We are yet to see what impact Ngannou’s departure from the UFC will have on the future of the MMA landscape. But for now, fans can’t wait to see MMA’s scariest knockout artist face the ‘Gypsy King’!

Ngannou vs. Fury promises to be a fight for the ages 

Francis Ngannou’s move outside the UFC may have come as a surprise to fans. But his decision to take on Tyson Fury for his first foray into professional boxing has the community buzzing with excitement.

The two men have engaged in an intriguing buildup to the fight. Fury, in his trademark fashion, has been supremely confident in his skills and experience in the ring. The boxing heavyweight champion has stated that he intends to knock out Ngannou in pre-fight interviews. He stated, “I’m going to knock him out inside six rounds.”



Ngannou on the other hand has displayed the same calm and collected demeanour that fans always saw from him in the UFC. Legendary heavyweight champion Mike Tyson is training him for this fight. And he used Tyson’s words to respond to Fury’s claims by stating, “everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face.

‘The Predator’ made his name by sending his opponents to the shadow realm throughout his UFC career. And we have yet to see if he can achieve the same against one of the best heavyweight boxers of his generation.
