Dana White doesn’t like PFL co-founder Donn Davis comparing the UFC to its biggest competitor. Davis, after all, had claimed after the PFL: Battle of the Giants PPV card last week headlined by Francis Ngannou that that event was as good as any of the cards put on by the UFC that year. And Dana White, on being questioned about the PFL co-founder’s comments not only rubbished those claims but pulled out the receipts to back up his trash talk.

The UFC CEO went in on Davis, claiming the PFL couldn’t even compete with Power Slap, let alone the UFC, the world’s biggest combat sports promotion. At the Power Slap 9 post-fight press conference, the head honcho went in-depth and compared the social media and online popularity of the PFL with Power Slap, pointing out how the slap-fighting league’s numbers were better in almost every category. He then claimed that one of the UFC’s lesser-known Fight Night cards of the year beat the PFL’s biggest PPV event of the year, before taking an unprovoked shot at Democratic Presidential candidate Kamala Harris for good measure.

“And then if you want to get into what he [Donn Davis] said about the UFC, I have a laundry list here. But let me just start with this- UFC Vegas 84 at the Apex beat them. So listen I understand and I love the stuff he said, he sounds like Kamala [Harris]- talks a lot but says nothing. And I would hate to be one of that guy’s investors,” White told reporters.

Dana White must be especially incensed at Davis’ comparisons because 2024 saw the likes of the UFC 300 mega-card, and an unforgettable audio-visual experience at the iconic Sphere for UFC 306, which will go down in the sport’s history. And it is also quite easy to see why he used the Kamala Harris comparison as an insult.

Dana White feels people should be ‘scared’ of Kamala Harris

To say Dana White likes Donald Trump would almost be a criminal understatement. Not only are the UFC CEO and the former President very good friends, but White credits Trump with virtually saving the UFC when it was in a very precarious position back in the early 2000s.

What’s your perspective on:

Is Dana White right to claim PFL can't even compete with Power Slap, let alone UFC?

Have an interesting take?

That is why it is not surprising that Trump chose the UFC CEO to give the introductory speech at all three Republican National Conventions, where he has been elected the official Presidential candidate. But this time around, the UFC CEO has an added incentive to support Trump even more as he has a very low opinion of Kamala Harris.

After all, the UFC CEO was so concerned at Harris stumbling to answer a question from Stephen Colbert about what makes her different from President Joe Biden that he took to social media to warn his followers against voting for her.

“I don’t like to post a lot of political content, but this clip should scare EVERYONE. She is the sitting VP and running for President of the United States. She is incapable of putting a sentence together without a teleprompter and even she appears to know she is in way over her head,” he wrote. And that is why the UFC CEO compared Donn Davis to Kamala Harris in a disparaging manner. What are your thoughts on the UFC CEO comparing Davis to the Democratic Presidential candidate?
