2022 PFL featherweight champion, Brendan Loughnane, made a significant impact in the opening round of PFL’s 2023 regular season in Las Vegas, Nevada. He registered a second-round TKO win over former UFC fighter Marlon Moraes. Many fans have reacted to the Mancunian fighter’s amazing performance on social media.

The Mancunian fighter successfully threw and landed some great combinations on his opponent, while Moraes was struggling to close the distance with Loughnane. The 2022 champion inflicted significant damage on the Brazilian fighter as Moraes almost lost the fight in the first round after getting dropped with a leg kick.

Brendan Loughnane carried the momentum of his first round of dominance into the second round. However, Moraes started strong in the second round, which startled the former Contender Series contestant. But Loughnane caught his opponent with a devastating leg kick, after which the referee called for the fight to be stopped.

They believe that the Brazilian fighter should consider hanging up his gloves and stop fighting. The fans claim that his fight against Henry Cejudo was what started Moraes’ downfall, which is a sentiment that was also shared by Dana White. While some fans were taking a shot at Loughnane after failing to climb the cage fence to celebrate his win.
