There’s no doubt that Sean Strickland is a very vocal individual, who hardly holds back what he has in mind. Sometimes it could be something normal, or sometimes things can get a little out of pocket. However, the former UFC champion seems to have a very high-profile fan as his coach revealed that Portuguese soccer icon Cristiano Ronaldo loves Strickland.

As we all know, CR7 has developed a cordial relationship with Francis Ngannou and even paid a visit to him in the locker room when ‘The Predator’ took on Renan Ferreira in his first MMA fight in over two years. Ngannou’s coach, Eric Nicksick, who also trains Sean Strickland, opened up on his experience of meeting the leading goalscorer of all time, claiming that Ronaldo’s as humble as they come, and a big-time fight fan, who asked him about Strickland when they had a conversation.

“Man, this guy was the coolest guy you’ll ever [meet]. Like, when he walked in the room, everybody’s like, ‘Oh, sh*t!’ It’s Ronaldo, right? The way it should be. But he made everybody in the room feel like normal people,” Eric Nicksick told ‘The Schmo’. “He sat down, chopping it up, ‘Coach, what’s the game plan? What are we doing? Blah, blah, blah… Tell me about Sean Strickland. I’ve always wanted to know about Sean.”

Cristiano Ronaldo’s wholesome moment with Israel Adesanya

After Israel Adesanya sustained the upset loss against Sean Strickland at UFC 293, he announced a long sabbatical from the sport, telling fans on social media that he’d be out till 2027. Of course, ‘The Last Stylebender’ made his comeback just a few months ago, but Cristiano Ronaldo seemed worried about what was going on with Adesanya. Before Francis Ngannou’s debut boxing bout against Tyson Fury, ‘CR7’ caught up with the Nigerian-born New Zealand star when the latter paid a visit to the Middle East.

Claiming that a long break may not be a wise choice, Ronaldo told Israel Adesanya, “You have to fight. You have to fight,” in a video clip of their interaction. The Al-Nassr star would even take a moment to ask about Alexander Volkanovski, who, at that time, opened up about going through some mental struggles. This interaction surely helped Ronaldo gain fans from the MMA community.
