Now, the ex-UFC star has once again attempted to broaden his fanbase just before the match between Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund.

The Cameroonian-French fighter’s rival, Tyson Fury, is a fan of Manchester United, and many believe that Fury is the favorite boxer of The Red Devils. Recently, Ngannou made a bold move that challenged this idea. The former UFC heavyweight champion’s claim has turned many heads toward him.

Along with the picture, he wrote, “@ManUtd’s favorite heavyweight boxer is in the building  Can’t wait to watch the match tonight in Vegas #FuryNgannou #MUFC.” When fans came across the post, they were quick to react.

Now, he has come forward to claim that he is the favorite of Manchester United.

After coming across his tweet, the official Twitter handle of Manchester United came forward to clarify their take on Ngannou’s claim. They wrote, “We don’t pick favourites.” Under the tweet, fans gathered to comment on their take on Ngannou being the favorite of The Red Devils.

Tyson Fury’s love for Manchester United is well-known to fans. Now Francis Ngannou has also tried to form a connection with the team. Hence, one of the fans pointed out how the two may have a few things in common.

A Twitter user was proud of ‘The Predator’ for choosing Manchester United over other popular football teams. He also mentioned that the football team is not for weak people to follow.

While the majority was happy about Ngannou standing with Manchester United, one of the fans lost the “respect” he has for the former UFC champion.

The Red Devils lost the match, and one fan was sad about it. It was their third straight loss, as the team fell short by 3-2 on Sunday.

The bout between Ngannou and Fury is scheduled to take place on October 28 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Ahead of that, Ngannou grabbed the attention of a larger crowd by claiming that The Red Devils were with him. This made one fan comment that Ngannou and the football team are beefing with Fury.
