Crossovers among sports can be exciting for fans. That’s one reason combat fans love a UFC and boxing crossover. However, it’s not limited to that. Back in 2014, two women’s soccer players visited ‘The Ultimate Fighter’. They spoke about their experiences in professional sports.
The two soccer players were none other than Sydney Leroux and Megan Rapinoe from the U.S. National Women’s soccer team. ‘TUF‘ athletes were thrilled to have other sports personalities interact with them. Hence, one of the fighters took the opportunity to ask them about the hurdles they had to face as women in sports.

Rapinoe readily provided her insights about how many undermine their talents. Female TUF fighters could relate to her. Another fighter questioned them if they followed MMA and the soccer players gave a positive reply. They acknowledged how difficult of a sport MMA was.
Rapinoe said, “I have like so much respect for you guys too. Cause I know, every time I even like wrestle with someone, I’m like. You know and you’re like, I just gas out in few seconds.”

“I think that you guys are like the most fit athletes. It’s crazy to be able to be that fit and then to have the technical skill set and then to actually like fight with that as well.”
However, fellow soccer player, Leroux felt she would be a terrible fighter as she would get angry. Thus, they all laughed about it.

The player revealed she was an avid UFC fan but also felt she didn’t think she had the stamina, muscle power, and strength for it.

Regardless of the vast difference in their sport, the athletes gelled well with each other. In fact, Leroux and Rapinoe even tried out some MMA moves. From kicks to chokes, they were happy to try out new stuff.
At the end of the short video, the guests as well as the TUF fighters were seen bidding farewell. Leroux and Rapinoe had great words about the MMA fighters, and their preparation, and related it to soccer.
