The clear answer is no. Former bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling and former 4-time Premier League winner Raheem Sterling are not related to each other. Having his roots in Jamaica, Aljamain was born in the United States, in Uniondale, New York, to be exact. Meanwhile, Raheem was born in Jamaica and this is the only connection between these two athletes. ‘Funk Master’ has often showcased his love for Jamaica by bringing out the nation’s flag while walking out to the Octagon on multiple occasions. On the other hand, Aljamain has never crossed paths with Raheem till now.
Aljamain Sterling has most of his family members born in the States. He was born to Cleveland and Sohphie Sterling and has seven full siblings and 12 half-siblings. Some of them turned to a life of crime at an early age, and to stay away from that kind of lifestyle, Aljamain decided to deviate his mind towards combat sports and martial arts. The 34-year-old fighter is also engaged to his fiancee Rebecca Cruz. Now that we have a clear picture of Aljamain’s story, let’s explore what the deal with Raheem Sterling is.
