Two-division UFC champions Conor McGregor loves football. He has talked about Manchester United being his favorite team and how he used to love the team under Sir Alex Ferguson. He also talked about his love for Celtic. A recent tweet, however, shows his interest in buying Liverpool Football Club.

A recent tweet has ignited talks of ‘The Notorious’ being interested in buying Liverpool Football Club. McGregor said, “I WOULD LOVE IT! I requested my information on this, yes. Soon as I heard. What a turn of events! What a club! @LFC.” Liverpool is currently estimated at a value of $7 Billion.
McGregor made a huge amount selling his whiskey brand Proper 12. He earned around $150 Million in the deal. The fighter also makes money from UFC and boxing fights. Despite being out of the Octagon for some time now, Conor McGregor has kept his earning sources flowing. He is further set to make his Hollywood debut with Jake Gyllenhaal in the remake of the 1980s classic, Roadhouse.
Conor McGregor gets support from Manchester United Legends ex-wife
Angie Best has responded to McGregor’s tweet that suggested his interest in buying Liverpool Football Club too. Angie Best was previously married to Manchester United legend George Best. Best scored a whopping 178 goals for Manchester united.

Angie Best tweeted “oh yes” the tweet had several clap emojis in it. Buying a football team has been a goal for Conor McGregor. He earlier showed interest in buying Manchester United and Celtic. It should, however, be noted that even after earning huge money and beating Cristiano Ronaldo as the highest-paid athlete, 7 billion$ seems a bit over the top.
McGregor will need investments to buy an EPL team
Conor McGregor may want to own a football team, but he will need a lot of investment to match any of the valuations. McGregor and his love for football is known all around the world. ‘The Notorious’ will need support in terms of finances even if he thinks of buying an EPL team.
