UFC 273 is going to be a treat for all fight fans. With two of the most anticipated fights since the past few months, the MMA event is inching closer by the minute. Alexander Volkanovski versus Chan Sung Jung has a lot more weightage than just being a title fight.

Alexander Volkanovski, the current UFC Featherweight champion, is an Australian-born MMA professional. Renowned Tennis player Nick Kyrgios and Volkanovski share the same motherland and hence take a lot of pride in a fight that has the prestige of a country.

With UFC 273 approaching in less than a fortnight, Volkanovski shared a message on his Instagram in which he stated that he would bring the belt to Australia after he wins the fight. Kyrgios reposted that story and captioned it, “My boy.” There is a brotherhood between these athletes, enforced by the pride of their country.

This isn’t the first instance where the two athletes have expressed support or stated a word of encouragement for one another. The two of them have amusing conversations on their social media platforms, which is nothing short of wholesome.

Nick Kyrgios posted a tweet in which he revealed that he was once threatened inside the locker room after winning a doubles match in the Australian Open.
Volkanovski replied to this tweet saying, “Let me at em!!“. Kyrgios replied with a final tweet saying, “Haha I’ll be right behind you my brother.” This shows that these two athletes are a lot more than mere acquaintances. Their showcase of camaraderie and brotherhood shows that they have a good friendship.
