Now, it seems like stars from other sports are casually making MMA references. Australian tennis star, Thanasi Kokkinakis, was the latest one to do so. He did so while replying to fellow countryman and his doubles partner at the Australian Open, Nick Kyrgios.

Both men secured a fantastic upset win over the top seeds, Nikola Mektic and Mate Pavic, in the second round. However, after the match, the coach and trainer of the Croatian pair threatened to fight Kyrgios and Kokkinakis.

This prompted a reply from Kyrgios. He tweeted, “Just letting you know after yesterday’s chop fest in doubles, my opponents coach and trainer proceeded to threaten to fight in the players gym. Tennis is a soft soft sport @TKokkinakis all because I moved and hit them with a tennis ball.”
