In an interview, he was heard saying, “…not being vaccinated today, I, you know, I’m unable to travel to most of the tournaments. That is the price I’m willing to pay because the principles of decision-making on my body are more important than any title.”
Former MMA fighter, Gina Carano too has been skeptical about the topic.

In a recent Instagram story, Carano shared Djokovic’s reel talking about the vaccination and reacted to it with a heart and folded hands emoji.
Carano has been the pioneer of women’s mixed martial arts. She started her professional MMA career in 2006 under WEF and has also fought for EliteXC and Strikeforce. She went undefeated till 2009 when she faced Cris Cyborg. ‘Conviction’ lost to Cyborg via a T/KO.

The star retired with a 7-1 record.
Further, former UFC champion, Ronda Rousey too had an MMA career similar to Carano’s. Rousey’s entry into the MMA business brought in a lot of attention. She was a dominant fighter in the Octagon and went undefeated for a long time. That was until she faced Holly Holm and later, Amanda Nunes.
After facing losses against both the fighters, Rousey retired with two losses on her record. However, she found her well-deserved place in WWE.

Rousey has also admired Carano’s MMA career and has spoken about how she is the one fighter who could get Rousey out of retirement. However, Carano has been doing great movies and aspires to create more.

UFC stars who might agree with Novak Djokovic
While Carano has reacted to Novak Djokovic’s reel, there are a few UFC stars who might agree with his stance to a certain extent.
As reported by Bloodyelbow in 2021, UFC President Dana White, was not happy with the vaccination mandate idea for his fighters. He felt it was not right to force the athletes to do so.
