Joe Rogan, the UFC color commentator, is infamous for his unfiltered stance on many famous athletes, be it inside MMA or outside of it. Similarly, the 54-year-old once shared his bold opinion on tennis legend Serena Williams’ doping scandal.

In one episode of his famous ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’ podcast on Spotify, the MMA enthusiast discussed transgender people in sports. It was then that Rogan recalled an old incident involving the tennis star, Serena Williams.

In 2011, Williams reportedly locked herself in a panic room after a drug tester came unannounced to her Los Angeles mansion. It was later reported that the tennis great mistook the drug tester for an intruder and acted in self dense.

However, Rogan had a different perspective on the incident. In the episode, while talking about it, the MMA fanatic and practitioner said, You could say like well, Serena Williams is always gonna be stronger and faster than a lot of men.”

“It’s true, but one of them is it Serena or her sister. The drug testing people came to their they locked themselves in a f**king safe room… drugs… I think it’s steroids. I think it’s performance-enhancing drugs,” Rogan added. 

Further on, the UFC commentator read a news headline that stated Williams locked herself in a mix-up. However, Rogan didn’t buy it. He boldly stated that there was no mix-up and Williams locked herself to avoid the test.

The famous WNBA player Brittney Griner is currently on her bitter side of life. She will reportedly serve 9 years in a Russian jail after being held for carrying illegal drugs into the country.

Many athletes from around the world have given their thought about the same. One of them is the UFC color commentator Joe Rogan. The 54-year-old took to his official Instagram account and addressed the topic.

“This is some really horrible sh*t. I hope some sort of a deal can be made to get her out, and I hope this makes us look at our own policies here in America where thousands of people are in jail for cannabis right now,” Rogan wrote in the caption.
