“The Rock” is truly a man of his word! UFC fighter Themba Gorimbo’s financial struggles caught the attention of WWE superstar and Hollywood icon Dwayne Johnson. After Gorimbo revealed having a mere $7.50 in his bank account, the XFL co-owner offered to extend his support to the rising star. Amid his own $60 million loss in the XFL, Johnson’s philanthropic move has stirred admiration.

In an exclusive interview with TMZ Sports, the fighter expressed his excitement about meeting The Rock and shares his aspiration to have his inspiring story turned into a movie.

Themba Gorimbo on meeting with Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson

The Zimbabwean fighter eagerly anticipates meeting Dwayne Johnson. He expressed his disbelief about the fact that the Hollywood icon wants to meet him. Gorimbo exclaimed,“…it’s crazy – it’s surreal to be honest, you know like – The Rock wants to meet me, you know. I mean, it’s everyone’s dream to meet The Rock, but this is the other way around.”

Moreover, ‘The Answer’ admits that meeting ‘The Rock’ is a dream come true for many, and he feels grateful for the opportunity. He hopes that the success he’s experiencing can inspire others, emphasizing his desire to make a positive impact.

The 32-year-old further adds, The Rock wants to meet me… I’m grateful…I hope this life I’m living, I hope these things happening to me can inspire somebody one day…”

What’s more – referring to ‘The Rock’s initial message about once having only seven dollars, Gorimbo revealed, “…he[Dwayne] has already reached out to my management. Yeah, good things are happening – and man, I’m about to make history just meeting him…”

Excited about the prospects, Gorimbo envisions his story being turned into a movie. The Zimbabwean believes, “I’ve got a mega story that can inspire a lot of people – that can sell. This is like a Rocky Balboa movie man!” With the support of Johnson and his company – Seven Bucks Productions, Gorimbo hopes his story can inspire and entertain audiences while showcasing the power of determination.

Inspired by Johnson’s own rise from humble beginnings, Gorimbo aims to inspire others through his extraordinary journey. With the Hollywood actor’s support, Gorimbo believes his story can make a significant impact on the big screen, resembling the timeless underdog tale of Rocky Balboa.
