Fans and media alike have always questioned Dana White about the fighter’s pay and other issue revolving around the same. The UFC president is highly scrutinized for the issue too. Besides the fighter’s pay issue, White might be on the receiving end of a lawsuit by a UFC fighter. Moreover, there is a need for an MMA pension bill to be introduced for the benefit of the fighters. Such is the claim of one of Dana White’s favorites, Ronda Rousey.
‘Rowdy’ spoke about fighter’s pay in an interview recently. The fans gave their honest opinion on Rousey’s demands and the UFC President might want to look away.
Fans react as Ronda Rousey calls for California’s MMA Pension Bill
The former UFC fighter has issued a statement regarding the potential pension bill. A post on Reddit reported the same and MMA fans had a lot to say about Rousey’s stance.
The post was captioned, “Ronda Rousey on California’s MMA Pension Bill: “If this doesn’t pass, I’ll be really disappointed”.
One fan commented a joke, “”Ronda rousey was never my friend” – Dana white.” Furthermore, one social media user said, “Is there a reason for Dana to care? It seems like it’s tantamount to a sales tax hike and wouldn’t affect the UFC at all?”
Another fan said, “If this bill passes it could kick the tires on fighter unionization. Possibly Dana’s biggest fear.” One social media user said, “They don’t blink when they do $15 price increases to PPVs.”
Furthermore, one Reddit user said, “Ronda rousey is a fake account goof – Dans white.” Another fan pointed out her hypocrisy, “Crazy how she supports it now when she’s basically irrelevant but actively campaigned against a similar bill when she was at her peak.”

One MMA fan used this incident as an opportunity to praise Francis Ngannou. They commented, “Exactly the reason why I have massive respect for Ngannou, he didn’t fold when offered something beneficial to JUST him when many others in that position have.”

What did Ronda Rousey say?
In an interview with ESPN Rousey said that there is a need for an MMA pension fund. The WWE fighter said, “It’s when you’re dealing with the repercussions of that career is when you no longer have that income stream.”
