‘Rowdy’ Ronda Rousey’s return to the UFC would be a massive event. It would be a huge deal if the former UFC women’s Bantamweight Champion made her comeback to the UFC after her stint with the WWE. Ronda Rousey has been urged to return by Henry Cejudo’s coach.
Others, such as ‘Big’ John McCarthy and Josh ‘Punk’ Thompson, advised her against it. While still others, like ‘Uncle’ Chael Sonnen speculated what a possible Ronda comeback would look like.

Ronda Rousey’s retirement from UFC
In a video on his YouTube channel, Chael Sonnen gave his opinion on how he thinks her return would play out, pointing out that “when it was time to retire, Ronda was still the top 10” alluding to her exit from the promotion in 2016.
‘The Bad Guy’ believes that Ronda Rousey was not a title contender around the time of her exit from the UFC following her back-to-back knockout losses to Holly Holm and Amanda Nunes. But, he believes that she was still a top 10 ranked fighter in the women’s Bantamweight division.

However, it did not make financial sense for the UFC as “you could not justify to anybody throwing Ronda in with that level of payment and not having to be the Marquee name”
And this incompatibility was the primary reason that necessitated her exit from the promotion.
Chael warns fans to be realistic about what a possible Ronda Rousey comeback would look like
However, Chael believes the situation is different now. “If she were to return now, she would not return into a world title fight. She wouldn’t return into quite that upper echelon”

He wanted fans to be clear that if she returns, “It’s not going to be Main Events against the best in the world. It’s gonna be competitive and meaningful matches with somebody who gets to go in with somebody else who’s a star”.

Of course, Rousey has made no indications that she would return to the UFC, and this is pure speculation based upon Henry Cejudo’s coach urging her to return. But Uncle Chael has warned fans not to dismiss the possibility outright.
“Every comeback looks like this. It starts out as a joke, but it gains a little bit of steam it gains a little bit of momentum,” The Bad Guy stated.

Chael has made clear that although Rousey’s return would be a huge event, fans should be clear that she would not be competing for the title anytime soon, and would have to work her way up if she wants a shot at the title.
