Also, Rogan believed there’s another bigger reason why men get upset about this question or other typical questions. He said, “Depends on the girl. If she’s annoying, yeah it’s annoying.”

“But if you’re in love with her, and she’s awesome,” said Rogan.

“If you get angry, it’s most likely you’re just like annoyed/incompatible.”

Hence, Rogan concluded the nature of the relationship is more important than the question itself.

Joe Rogan heard Big John McCarthy coin the term MMA

The former Fear Factor host showed his love and knowledge of MMA when he started working for the UFC. Some of his initial gigs were unpaid. However, Rogan was not worried about that, as he wanted the sport to grow.

Rogan, who frequently has guests from MMA on his JRE podcast, once had a discussion about how the term MMA circled around with referee Big John McCarthy.

Rogan asked McCarthy, “Who named it mixed martial arts?” While McCarthy was answering the question, Rogan told him, “I heard it was you.”

Later on, McCarthy cleared the air and told he coined ‘Martial Arts Referee’ as his designation, and upon asking what type of martial arts? He put ‘Mixed’ in front of it. However, Big John revealed he thought that on the spot. That said, he mentioned that a columnist of the LA Times, who wrote about the first UFC event, used the term in his articles.
