Years after Conor McGregor vs Floyd Mayweather concluded, CJ Watson has come with a response to McGregor wearing his Jersey.

McGregor is a mastermind when it comes to mind games. The Irishman is known to dig deep into his opponents’ past and find anything that he can use to get inside their heads. Nobody is safe from the “Notorious” one’s psychological warfare.

Back in 2017, when McGregor was preparing to fight Floyd Mayweather, he sported the No. 23 Golden State Warriors jersey. This incident enraged Draymond Green, who currently wears the jersey. However, when Green told McGregor to take it off, McGregor fired back and said that he was representing former Warrior’s point guard, C.J. Watson.

Why did Conor McGregor wear C.J. Watson’s jersey?

No, he is not a huge fan of Watson. According to the Judiciary Report, Mayweather read some text messages between Watson and his ex-girlfriend Josie Harris. The fuming Mayweather then beat up his former girlfriend in front of their kids and threatened to kill Watson and Harris.

The 36-year-old Watson played 10 seasons in NBA and is now playing overseas in Turkey. It seems like he is not too thrilled about his entanglement in Floyd Mayweather vs Conor McGregor.

As far as Conor is concerned, he has won one MMA bout after his fight with Mayweather. He defeated Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone in January and wants to fight two more times this year. For now, there is no specific timeline for his return.
