Joe Rogan, the American podcast host, like many other sports personalities, talked about a woman basketball player held in detention in Russia. The sports world is coming forward to support the WNBA player – Brittney Griner. However, Rogan is not sure how to handle the shocking situation.

On his famed podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience, the longtime UFC color commentator, Rogan had a conversation with guest Paul Virzi, a fellow standup artist and the host of ‘The Virzi Effect’ podcast.
The guest brought the news of Brittney Griner’s detention and asked the 54-year-old for his thoughts on the matter as “she’s gonna be detained for another six months”.

Rogan called the incident ‘crazy’ and said, “I don’t know what we can do.”

“… All she had was a CBD vape pen, which is wild, wild, right? She got a vape pen, for I mean, she is a f***ing professional athlete,” the UFC announcer added.
Rogan read an article and came to know that the worst-case scenario for Griner could be 10 years in prison; He said, “F***… That’s horrible. It’s over nothing. It’s like she’s the clearest form of political prisoner. “

When the guest asked what Rogan thought could be done to resolve the situation, Rogan said, “I don’t know, man. I’m not a very political person, in that sense. I would like them to work this out, but I think it’s just a part of a bigger problem.”
Like Joe Rogan, LeBron James also spoke about the WNBA player
Fellow basketball player, Los Angeles Lakers forward, LeBron James shared his disappointment with the news on his Twitter handle.

King James gave clarification on his prior comments and highlighted the main issue and wrote, “she’s probably feeling emotionally along with so many other emotions, thoughts, etc inside that cage she’s been in for over 100+ days! Long story short #BringHerHome.”

The Men’s NBA player also followed his initial comment with ‘#FreeBG’ to show support for women’s NBA player – Brittney Griner.
