WATCH: Jorge Masvidal Teaches Shaquille O’Neal His Devastating Move to Knock Out People

Shaquille O’Neal retired almost a decade ago. However, he is remaining relevant. His show the ‘Shaq’ life permits adorning fans to take a glimpse into his life. Reportedly the next episode of the series shows us the 4x NBA Champion’s love for MMA. One of the fighters to feature in the show is the BMF Champion Jorge Masvidal.

The video features ‘Shaq’ observing ‘Gamebred’ as he verbally and practically demonstrates the attack. ‘Shaq’ attempts it too however he isn’t as mobile as ‘Gamebred.’ who tried to help the retired NBA star.

“It all comes from the legs, and if you add momentum to it. You can fly without really trying you know. You cover a lot of distance and it’s very efficient.”

‘Shaq’ credits the combat sport for his success on the basketball court. In a chat with ESPN MMA’s Ariel Helwani, he said MMA is the reason he became a Champion. He trained in MMA ahead of the 2000 season, which saw the Los Angeles Lakers claim the first title of their incredible 3 peat to kick off the millennium.

Shaq was all praise for the ‘Gamebred.’ He first saw the UFC Welterweight fighter in his fight against Nate Diaz 

“To me, there two different kinds of fighters. The ones with no body fat and then the other ones who just like to fight. That’s what Jorge is. Like, when I saw him, I knew he was a fighter. But I didn’t know he was as bad as he was.” 

The BMF is an expert in the high knee. He used it to record the fastest knockout in UFC history at UFC 243 against Ben Askern. He is on a 3 fight win streak and is next in line for a Welterweight Title fight against Kamaru Usman.

Which other fighters can we see on the MMA episode of ‘The Shaq Life?’ Would the 7 foot 300-pound Basketball have been a monster in the combat world too? We certainly saw him move and leap during his lengthy playing career and are certain that he would have notched up a plethora of KO’s.
