Ortega (14-1) is currently the second-ranked featherweight, and Chan Sung Jung (16-5) is at number four. Excluding Max Holloway and Zabit Magomedsharipov, they are the only two top-gunners in the 145 lbs roster.

However, there’s much more at stake when Ortega and ‘The Korean Zombie’ collide. Apart from being top-rated featherweights, they have a personal beef between each other.

In the aftermath of UFC 248, Ortega and The Korean Zombie got involved in a bitter feud. The former slapped Korean rapper Jay Park, who accompanied his friend Sung to an event. While Chan Sung Jung was in the green room, Ortega approached Park and planted a slap on him.

Before things turned hideous, Ortega was taken away from the arena. However, the incident has intensified the rivalry between the two.

Preview of the electrifying featherweight fight

Ortega hasn’t competed since his maiden defeat against Max Holloway in 2018. Although he is one of the most promising 145 pounders in the promotion, this lengthy inactivity might affect his performance.

Meanwhile, Chan Sung Jung is on a two-fight win streak. He has competed twice in 2019, winning both the contests by first-round knockouts. First, he vanquished Renato Moicano on June 22, 2019. Then he defeated Frankie Edgar on December 21, 2019.

Ortega will be a tough-test, but The Korean Zombie has all the chances of dominating the fight.
