The issue of racism has become hot potato in the United States, following the death of George Floyd almost a month ago. Jon Jones was one of the many prominent figures who took to the streets to showcase their support on the issue. While Jones is no longer on the streets to curb the nuisance caused by some protesters, he is still calling out instances of inequality wherever he sees it.

It seems as if Jones was out shopping with his daughters in an apparel store. This was when he spotted a pair of jeans on the shelf. The tag near the jeans read ‘Super Skinny Black N****’. Jones, along with his daughter, was surprised upon seeing the naming by Hollister.

Jones lives in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The state houses a significant fraction of people who speak Spanish. Moreover, the literal translation of the word “Black” from English to Spanish is N****. In all likelihood, the brand was trying to cater to the needs of its Spanish customers by providing the necessary translation.

Jones accepted that he knew what the literal translation of the word black in Spanish is. However, the light heavyweight champ still felt insulted.

Jones took to Twitter to address the issue. Most people viewed his post as an attempt to create an issue when there is none. Jones, however, added that none of the other jeans were labeled similarly.

While Jones may not get his hands at the hard-hitting Ngannou as of now, he has sighted a much bigger opportunity lately. Mike Tyson, the 53-year-old former champ who came out of retirement, hinted at a potential fight with Jones. He was advising Jones on how to get a big payday.

Jones accepted the challenge, however, with one condition. He wants ‘Iron Mike’ to fight him inside the Octagon as well.
