Israel Adesanya explains how his family helps him breakdown his opponents

Speaking to Dave Schmulenson, Adesanya revealed that he and his father does not live in the same city or town. However, his father helps him break down opponents and keeps him updated throughout his fight camp.

Adesanya said, “He tells me over the camp that you should watch out for this, you should be careful of this and make sure you do this.”

He then said that his brother, who lives with him, analyses his opponents and lets him know what can catch them off guard. Stylebender also claimed that his family looks out for specific tendencies.

He said, “My teams do the analytical breakdown of the fights, frame by frame and get in from plan A to Z.”

“My family, it’s more of a feel and case by case basis.”

Adesanya will need all the help he can get as he will face one of his toughest challenges yet. He will fight an opponent who many would avoid fighting.

Yoel Romero is a freak athlete who will attempt to take away Adesanya’s belt. With a silver medal in the Olympics, he is one of the best wrestlers in the division. However, he relies more on his explosive power to catch his opponents off guard.

Although Romero is the bigger man in terms of frame, both men have the power to knock each other out. It’s a classic wrestler vs striker matchup. However, in this case, the wrestler does not prefer to wrestle. He decides to finish his opponents with his power.
