UFC President Dana White recently spoke to reporters regarding the possibility of Conor McGregor vs. Khabib Nurmagomedov 2.
The interview began with a question aimed towards a statement that Khabib made recently. Khabib alleged that Conor McGregor “picks easy fights”. In response to this, Dana said,
“Conor doesn’t handpick his opponents. Conor McGregor has fought anybody we have asked him to. And who’s available. Guys have pulled put on Conor 2 or 3 times. Conor literally went to the gym and said ‘tell me who I’m fighting’.”

“They hate each other. If you think that you’re gonna do an interview with Khabib and he’s gonna say great things about Conor McGregor? Its never gonna happen. And if you interview Conor McGregor, he’s never gonna say great things about Khabib.”

Dana White does make a valid argument. The outstanding rivalry between Khabib and Conor has been one of a kind. Ranging from attacking buses to jumping the octagon and beating up teammates, one really can’t picture either of them speaking even neutrally about the other.

Conor McGregor might not wait for Khabib Nurmagomedov: Dana White
Dana White has gone on record many a time to state that according to him, Conor McGregor will fight Khabib next. Even though this is the most ideal situation for Conor, he does not seem as hung up on Khabib as we believe he is.
On being asked whether he still wants Khabib to be Conor’s next opponent, Dana said, “Yeah, Khabib, if he wins. But I don’t know if Conor wants to wait for him. We’ll see what happens. Conor might not wait.”
This opens up a whole new path for the Lightweight division to embark upon. Till now, everyone was under the impression that Conor will most definitely wait for Khabib vs. Tony Ferguson for his next fight.
But, the statement that Dana White gave has suddenly brought a lot of credibility to the numerous rumors regarding McGregor’s next fight, the most recent of which is a fight with Justin Gaethje.

The news makes the immediate future of the division a lot more interesting. After all, it is always a pleasure for the eyes to watch The Notorious in action. Nobody would want to wait for too long for that to happen.
And as far as the fight with Khabib is concerned, we all know that a rematch or maybe even a trilogy between the two rivals is bound to happen. It could happen this year, maybe next year, but it will happen. Watching the two fight others in the meanwhile is a win-win for the fans.
Who do you think Conor’s next fight is going to be with?
