Yet, Javier Mendez, Khabib’s coach, had some valuable additions to this claim. Apparently, Javier believes that while Ferguson does house an overall credibility, the toughest striker to cross Khabib’s path was Conor McGregor.

He said, “Overall, I think Tony’s the toughest opponent. Striking wise, Conor. I think Conor is the best striker he[Khabib] has ever faced.”

Well, The Notorious is notorious for his impeccable left hand, And the technique with which he carries out his strikes is remarkable.

Yet, due to his shortcomings on the ground, Conor lost out to Khabib. And the long overdrawn brawl came to a temporary ending with Khabib rising above, and Conor taking a leave from the UFC.

Yet, now, Conor is back. And if there is one thing that everyone knows about him, it is that Conor does not rest until he has had his revenge. McGregor even made it clear as soon as he reappeared on the fighting scene that he will fight Khabib again, as soon as possible.

And while McGregor lost out on the ground game, t won’t be the case with Tony. “ElCucuy”, in fact, enjoys being on the ground.

Thus, Khabib’s domain of supremacy might not be as effective as it usually is. Moreover, Tony brings along with him a versatility in fighting-style which is unmatched. And it’s ever more than Khabib’s. Be it striking, ground game or submissions, Ferguson packs a wallop in all areas.

And to top it off, Tony will definitely look to finally get his hands on the title. He has been rafter the title for quite some time now. Unfortunately, every time he got close to it, some mishap caused it to slip.
