Dan Hooker had an all-out war against Dustin Poirier a week ago. Given the slug fest that it was, Hooker had ten stitches right below his eyebrows. Back home in New Zealand, Hooker is in quarantine at a hotel. Given the time he has on his hands, Hooker decided to get creative with how he removed his stitches.

Hooker suffered a unanimous decision loss to Poirier in the main event of the last fight card at UFC Apex, before the action headed over to Fight Island. Hooker dislayed his crisp striking in the first two rounds. He was ahead on the judges’ scorecard during that period. However, the former interim champ’s tank lasted longer than the Kiwi’s. He dominated Hooker in the latter half of the fight en route to a decision victory.
