UFC Lightweight Champion Khabib Nurmagomedov will supposedly aim for a 30-0 record before hanging up his gloves. This means that fans will get to see ‘The Eagle’ fight only 2 more times. As a result, the world is interested in who the UFC will be looking at to book for what would be his final fight. UFC President Dana White revealed that all he knows for sure is the identity of Nurmagomedov’s next opponent.

In a chat with Brett Okamoto on ESPN MMA, the UFC President said, “I don’t know, obviously he’s got this Gaethje fight. That’s a done deal, he’s fighting Gaethje next. And then I don’t know who his last fight would be to make him 30 so I don’t know.”

Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov clashed at the UFC 229 main event. The bout stemmed from a feud that commenced following the Irish fighter’s media day bus attack at UFC 223.

At the event, ‘Notorious’ tapped in the fourth round to a neck crank. However, the infamous post-fight brawl is renowned. Here, ‘The Eagle’ jumped the Octagon and sprang into the crowd. In the ensuing melee, his teammates had a few swings at McGregor.

Now, Brett Okamoto name-dropped the former UFC 2 division Champion Georges St-Pierre as an opponent. The UFC President hinted that he would consider the fight.

“Sure I mean it’s the last fight of his career, the guy he’s been great to the company, great to the sport and I like Khabib a lot. I would do anything Khabib wanted to.”

The Canadian has competed only once in the last 6 years and maintains that he is retired. Last week he even said he wished to stay retired following current UFC Welterweight Champion Kamaru Usman seeking a fight with him. Hence, it will be interesting if Nurmagomedov names ‘GSP’ as the one he wants to face.
